AI Fluency: the new way of thinking (and living) artificial intelligence at Squadra
The global market is going through a frantic transition. If two years ago we were discussing whether artificial intelligence would be relevant, today the question is different: how quickly can your organization adapt to the language of AI?
In the past, teams had time to adapt to new technologies, but AI does not offer the same adaptation period. Change arrives overnight, and expectations follow at the same speed. Many people feel pressured to keep up with systems they haven't had time to learn, let alone trust.
Here at SQUADRA, we decided that our culture would be a pillar of trust, that we would create a safe space for people to study, unravel AI, and live this technology. Beyond that, we are evolving technologically without losing the essence of what makes us human.
From these convictions, AI Fluency was born: our way of thinking and living, of uniting technology, purpose, and consciousness in the same movement.
What does it actually mean to be AI fluent?
Unlike simple technical training, AI Fluency is seen as a behavioral competency. Being fluent is not just about knowing how to generate prompts, but about having a keen eye for daily processes and activities to: 1) understand how to enhance one's own work and results with AI; 2) identify processes and decisions where the action must be essentially human.
Fluency is the stage where AI ceases to be a tool and becomes part of daily life, used collaboratively and consciously, allowing our talents to focus on what is truly strategic and human: creativity and critical thinking.
Our journey is inspired by giants
By analyzing what makes companies like OpenAI successful, we realize that the secret lies not only in GPU clusters but in a culture of rapid iteration and the absence of silos. AI Fluency draws from this source, and therefore, we seek a structure where learning is continuous and shared in real-time.
Our AI culture manifests in various aspects. Everyone here is immersed in an ecosystem that encourages testing, rapid failure, constant evolution, and sharing of learnings. Some examples of AI use in our daily lives are:
Technology: agile prototyping, code support, and system optimization;
Marketing: generating insights through data, personalizing campaigns, and reading trends;
Sales: analyzing opportunities and building intelligent proposals;
HR: ethical automation and creating personalized development paths;
Backoffice: automating reports and administrative processes.
In each area, a practice; in all, we have a single common goal: to propagate our culture and make the entire company AI fluent. We are many, but we are one.
The five pillars of our culture
Our AI Fluency culture is supported by five fundamental pillars:
1. Co-creation over automation
AI does not do the work alone. It participates in discussions, helps generate ideas, and offers new perspectives, but the final decision always comes from people. Humans and machines create together, in a flow where intelligence multiplies, not divides.
A common mistake in AI implementations worldwide is the excessive focus on code and neglect of the emotional aspect. Referencing market insights like those discussed by VentureBeat, we understand that empathy is the missing ingredient in many technology rollouts.
Here, we recognize that AI generates anxiety about the future of work. Therefore, our guidelines are clear: AI to amplify, not to replace. Our focus is on elevating human potential and understanding that the impact technology has on our Squaders and clients is as important as the gains themselves.
2. Learn and adapt on the go
Fluency is born from curiosity. We test, we fail, we adjust, and we continuously relearn, sharing these learnings across the network. This is how we created the turing bots, internal solutions developed from the real experience of Squaders. All of this is gathered in an internal knowledge library: the FluêncIA Hub.
3. Transform data into intelligent decisions
AI delivers numbers, but we are the ones who give them meaning. Technology supports the interpretation of contexts and mapping of trends, but when it comes to acting with clarity and purpose, we need the human perspective. The focus is on collecting more data and also making better decisions from it.
4. Share to grow together
AI culture only gains strength when it is shared. Therefore, we encourage weekly exchanges between teams, with presentations and discussions of real-world cases of AI use in our deliveries. The shared insights strengthen collective intelligence and help build a more fluent, collaborative, and human SQUADRA.
5. Technology with human essence
At the core of everything is our greatest value: people. AI Fluency culture only makes sense because it generates positive impact: respecting diversity, promoting inclusion, and maintaining empathy as a guide. Being fluent means understanding that efficiency and humanity are complementary and fundamental.
AI Fluency is our commitment to longevity. We are building an environment where technology is fluid and innovation is the native language. We are not just adapting to the age of artificial intelligence; we are helping to write the rules of how this new era should be lived.
The question we leave you with is: are you ready to be AI fluent? Do you want to be part of this movement? Check out our open positions and come be an AI-fluent Squader.
